On the first full week of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are focusing on resources that have been made available by the State. The Tennessee Statewide Crisis Line, available 24 hours a day/365 days a year, is a resource for anyone experiencing a mental health crisis. A trained counselor can be reached at 855-CRISSIS-1. Another option is the 899 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Any Tennessean can call 988 and press 0 to be routed to their local call center. 988 offers 24/7access to trained crisis counselors who can help people experiencing mental health-related distress. Both crisis services are a phone call away!
Additionally, the Mental Health or Substance Abuse Helpline is available at 800-560-5767. The Helpline offers you and your family access to an advocate who will listen to your concerns and provide information about available resources in your area.
