Event Permits

An Event Permit is required to host an event with more 35 attendees at Sarah Benson Park, 50 attendees at Preservation Park,  or to rent the Thompson's Station Community Center. Applications must be received 60 days prior to your event date. Applicants for events that require Parks Board approval are required to appear in person at the Parks Board Meeting.

To apply for an Event Permit, please use our online permitting system, GeoCivix.

  1. Create a GeoCivix account or login to your GeoCivix account. 
  2. Use the drop down menu, select "Parks and Temporary Events." 
  3. Follow the on-screen prompts to submit your application.


Thompson’s Station Community Center

The Community Center is available to rent all year long for family and group functions. TSCC rentals vary in rates, depending on the length of reservation and event usage. Please visit the TSCC page for more information on rental rates and usage. 

To rent the TSCC, confirm availability with the calendar provided on the facility page and submit an Event Permit Application through GeoCivix. Rentals are approved by the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

**Note: The TSCC rental fee is due within 72 hours after approval from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Requests without payment after 72 hours are automatically cancelled.**
